The flat was clean, it had a nice outdoor space that if the weather had been good would have been pleasant to sit out in.
When we arrived at the property we couldn't get through to anyone to collect the keys, my husband eventually tailgated someone into the building and found a lady cleaning the flats who gave us our key and the front door code.
No Storage - the kitchen had no cupboard space for storing our food, we had to leave it all out on the worktop - OK as we were only staying 3 nights, but would have been inconvenient for longer stay. The bedroom was a good size and plenty big enough for storage, but there were no wardrobes, chest of drawers or anything to put clothes away, even the bedside tables were just tables.
No basic essentials - the flat is self catering and we were using crockery and pans etc that were provided, we therefore expected to have washing up liquid available to wash the dishes, but there was none and it looked like this was perhaps always the case as the crockery had to be rewashed as it had some remnants of food on them. We bought some washing up liquid from the nearby Tesco and left it in the flat, it cost us 80p, so not exactly breaking the bank, so should be provided in my opinion. There was no toilet roll and no bin bags - fortunately we had bought a couple of bin bags with us for dirty clothes so we used these in the bin, we had to buy toilet rolls. Perhaps I'm being overly picky, but these are basics that I would have expected to be provided.
Broken shower - you could only get warm water if you used the rain fall shower head on a low flow, the normal shower head just came out freezing cold all the time. The shower is the same as ours at home, so it was not operator error, it was faulty and needs repairing.
The flats heating was controlled by a HIVE device, however the batteries in the control device were flat so we were unable to use the heating, which would have been good as the flat was very cold.
There was a security light right outside the bedroom window, which lit up the bedroom when it turned on, which was frequently.
